Canyonlands

It was hot and dry that summer, all folks were ornery, none more than Ma Baker and the Reverend Runn.

Ma was sly and mean, Runn was mean and sly, it was time for a face off...

Reverend Run and his boys, Darryll and Jason and Joe

Ma Baker, Pa Baker and their boys Shirley and Sue.  Yup, Ma was mean alright.

Ah reckon this place is as good as any other

Yup

Pa, I dun seen them varmints!

Joe fires with his Winchester, barley missing Shirley

Ma wants in on the action, she dashes forward,

She spies Darryl on a rise

Ma rarely misses...

The Reverend Runn prays then blazes with his shotgun, Shirley had no chance

Jason, the only one to make it to 5th grade school was the smart one, he starts sneaking round the back

Sue brings up the rear, getting into firing position

Sue fires at Joe, missing wildly

Joe falls back and takes a bead on Ma Baker

Pa is having none of that, he dashes forwards

The Reverend pauses for a quick prayer then unloads on Pa, just grazing the rocks around him

Spewing hellfire and damnation the Reverend advances towards PA

As he nears he draws his rifle and calmly guns down Pa, like a dog in the street

Ma, seeing the Reverend in full advance feels discretion may be needed, she falls back to cover

Th Reverend's righteous indignation is in full flow, he stalks towards Sue

Sue has no chance, the Reverend guns him down with no mercy

The Reverend pivots and advances on Ma

Ma's fire is ineffective, the reverend scores telling blows on Ma

Joe and Jason advance to support the Reverend

The Reverend wins initiative (again...), ad bears down on Ma

He shoots and Ma is wounded

The other two totally miss...

Ma wins initiative and flees.  But Ma is too mean to stay down for long, she'll be back once she has raised another gang.

The Reverend and his gang camp down for the night.

Mini-me minor was talking about Cowboys today so I was inspired to dig out the figs for a quick game.  It was short and sweet, just right for a quick shoot 'em up!
